FirefoxIE7 : make Firefox looks like IE7

The screenshot below is not for IE7, but it is Firefox ! FirefoxIE is a customization of Mozilla's newest Firefox Browser to make it look and feel more like Internet Explorer.

FirefoxIE7

You can download FirefoxIE, then to install it double-click the FirefoxIE7.exe install file. By default, it will download to your Windows Desktop(main screen). If your security software gives you a script warning, allow the script to run. This build is based on the latest version of Firefox 1.0.7

Notice this is not a plugin or extension installed on top of Firefox, you need to uninstall any version of firefox on your system before installing FirefoxIE. Installing over the top of an older version may cause unpredictable problems.

FirefoxIE7 Web Browser Now Available at Download.com
"I've enlisted the help of Download.com to distribute the FirefoxIE Web Browser",says Dan McTaggart of FirefoxIE.net. They have unbreakable servers, so everyone will be able to get the newest version FirefoxIE7 (Firefox-IE7) right away this time around.

Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) November 15, 2005 -- FirefoxIE7 Web Browser now available at Download.com.

"I've enlisted the help of Download.com to distribute the FirefoxIE Web Browser", says Dan McTaggart of FirefoxIE.net. They have unbreakable servers, so everyone will be able to get the newest version FirefoxIE7 (Firefox-IE7) right away this time around.

Historically, the masses of people showing up for a new version launch
have without fail crashed the FirefoxIE web server.

This version is slimmed down to the necessities and is now faster than a
native install of Mozilla Firefox. Everything is still customizable and features are easily activated via the sub menus but more has been "tucked away" to give it a more streamlined look and feel to start with.

SVG support has been added. Be sure to download the Adobe SVG plugin specified at http://www.firefoxie.net/svg.html

View-Toolbars now has Google, Yahoo, Web Developer and more preinstalled. One useful feature is the ability to drag and drop the “View Page in IE” button onto the Google toolbar. If a page has been coded so as to require Internet Explorer, the button can be easily and quickly accessed.

The new install file runs from a script. Simply allowing the script to run if prompted by your security software is all that is needed. An icon will be placed on the Windows desktop and on the quick launch bar.

Once again, FirefoxIE has proven that it is the fastest, most secure browser available.

An estimated 1000 People Per Week Switch to FirefoxIE - It Eases the Transition to Firefox

From Dan McTaggart, Owner of FirefoxIE.net: Die hard Linux fans want Firefox to look like their OS but for the majority on Windows, they want the familiar look and feel of their browser. FirefoxIE is the transitioning tool of choice for businesses and end users alike. You can't force anyone to like something else, so we give them what they want and we also fix the problems normally associated with a new technology like Firefox. That is the reason for our success. I am looking for someone with drive and vision to purchase FirefoxIE.net and discover the power and potential of the world's most stable Firefox Browser implementation. It is no accident that Firefox numbers have increased by 3% since April, 2005. FirefoxIE.net has always concentrated on more than just “download” numbers and campaigns. My focus has been on getting users to “keep it installed”. That takes more than flash-in-the pan advertising. End users recognize immature products very quickly and abandon them just as fast. I work hard to produce a production quality, user friendly experience for the end user.

From Web Pro News Saturday November 5, 2005: IE Loses More Ground To Firefox Jason Lee Miller | Staff Writer A recent report from web analytics firm One Stat reveals that Mozilla Firefox usage worldwide has increased by nearly 3 percent since April 2005, pulling Web surfers away from Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera. Firefox's global usage share has reached 11.5 percent, says One Stat. Internet Explorer is still the browser of choice for the vast majority of the online world, commanding 85.45 percent, based on reports from over 2 million users. In the United States and Canada, however, Firefox is much more popular. Just over 14 percent of US net-surfers use Firefox as their primary browser, compared to 80.73 percent for IE. Almost 17 percent of Canadians prefer Firefox to 78.52 percent in favor of IE.
