Why Firefox is more Secure than Internet Explorer

Firefox users are more convincent that Firefox is more secure than IE, by experience you can feel the change ! But if you still wondering, secunia is a very known security website and have excellent statistical information about patched bugs in different products. Something very interesting you can see in the graphics below, that about 7% of firefox 1.x bugs are unpatched while 28% for IE 6.x. Amazing that Microsoft is unable to patch more than 60% of their bugs :

This is not everything, because if we see the Criticality charts below showing the percentages of "Extremely", "Highly", "Moderately", "Less", and "Not" critical advisories affecting both products you'll see that 4% only of firefox bugs are extremely critical compared to 14% for Internet explorer
