Google Browser Sync, Your Firefox Settings Available Across Computers

Google Browser Sync is a new Firefox experience available from Google Labs. The Firefox extension aims to continuously synchronize your browser settings – including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies, and saved passwords – across your computers. It also allows you to restore open tabs and windows across different machines and browser sessions. It works with Firefox version 1.5 and later and is compatible with all operating systems supported by Firefox 1.5.

Your Firefox settings are saved on your Google Account, and after installing the extension and restarting Firefox, you will see a setup wizard which will take you through a series of quick and easy steps : identify which browser components you'd like to keep synchronized with your other computers, and then choose a PIN to protect your sensitive information. The PIN you create during setup is very important for your security, and it is used to encrypt information that's synced between your computers, which may include sensitive information such as your passwords for websites.
